| HI all Just found out that my Vitamin D level is way too low. It is about a 4 when 40 is normal. My dr prescribed some Vit D pills to be taken twice a week. They cost about $20 for 8 pills. And my prescription plan does not cover them at all. Does anyone else know of an over the counter type that I can use that costs less and does the same job? I was prescribed Vitamin D Cap 50000IU It is very costly to me, 8 pills for one month??? so any suggestions would be great. Oh-I have alredy checked into the natural ways of upping my Vitamin D so I will do those too--like being in sunlight etc. But some of the foods they mentioned I am allergic to so I can tolerate them at all. Will check back later to see if anyone has any other OTC ideas that might save me some money. Thank you in advance. |

| When our grandson was 10 days old he turned
jaundiced and the doctor said vitamin D would do the trick.
Personally I wonder if it isn't a sign that there is exposure prior
to conception and even when he got home ... to the 2-butoxyethanol
chemical or BUTYL could be an exposure as it is too strong in many
cleaning products, carpet cleaner, paint ... and the chemical can
get into one's eyes. Baby was also preterm by about a month, and as he grew (he is 2 years old now) he was slow to develop. If your system is dealing with autoimmune metabolic issues, it might not matter how much Vit D you are taking, maybe your body can't utilize it. Do you also have FATIGUE? Headaches? Do you recall having a serious flu? (That's what exposure looks like) forums.ebay.com/db2/thread.jspa?messageID=521397588
