In cases of possible life & death a spanking may be necessary; however, do not use your hand. The hands are for healing...and maybe they can be too forceful. Have you told the little one not to run out in front of cars? Have you repeatedly told him not to climb high in a tree where he might fall & get a concussion? A brief spanking may be in order.
