#1 Won't pull up

Can I share? says Kathy ....

I'm a mom of 4 kids. I've never had trouble conceiving.

I decided to become a surrogate in the summer of 02. I went through all the testing and found intended parents to work with.  I had 3 transfers for them. Transfer #2 took, but I miscarried twins at 6w5d.  After the 3rd transfer they decided to seek adoption.

On to my single IM. We transferred 2x. #2 took and the baby never got a HB so we had to terminate the pregnancy.

On to couple number 3.... *sigh* They are friends of mine...Young so I thought I wouldn't have a problem carrying for them. We transferred in January and got a BFP 6 days after transfer.   We were so excited to see the HB.  We were scheduled for Valentines day.   My BF and I went to Monterey for the weekend. When we got home we took a nap. I woke up to go to the bathroom and there was blood. Of course I freaked out.

By the AM I knew the babies were gone.  (We felt from the beginning it was twins) We went to our u/s just on the outside chance they were okay. Unfortunately and very sadly they were gone. I cried so hard....

I ended up having to have a D&C because I wasn't bleeding enough. My friends came over the day after the D&C to tell me they were not going to continue....

I am heartbroken over the babies I've lost.

I know they weren't 'mine'

But it still hurts me.

I am getting a tattoo to commemorate the babies I've lost. I'm getting the pregnancy and infant loss ribbon with a butterfly on the top of the ribbon....

Thank you for sharing - Maybe a chemical exposure

I don't understand all the abbreviations and what they mean, but I'll look into it more, and I thank you for your generosity.

I would suggest that the reason some people have trouble having a child is that one or both of the 'would be parents' have been harmed by the n-butyl ether chemicals. So, they are infertile; or they have trouble carrying a child to term

A gulf war vet shared with me that the children they tried to have were born so prematurely that they could not survive.

I suggest that this is the chemical that causes many autoimmune things including spontaneous infertility. It can also cause many birth defects because it is a teratogen (harms the developing fetus). It may be that what has happened here is the harm of this chemical. Not your fault at all. Not their fault either. They may have been chemically poisoned.

FSH - Fertility Hormone

The more I heard about the Pope's health issues, the more I began to suspect this is also the chemical that caused his gall bladder ailments, Parkinsons and joint ailments. These are my questions

Check into spontaneous infertility - Immune system attacking sperm

My husband and I also have unexplained infertility. My husband was a tanker in the gulf. We have had 5 miscarriages in the last 6 years. We have had semen analysis that show 76% of his sperm are severely amorphous. But getting pregnant is not our problem, we have trouble staying pregnant. The doctors told use that there is something wrong with the babies and they die before 3 mos. We are now having chromosome testing done. My test have come back normal for basic chromosome testing but his is still pending at this time. I don't know what to really ask for or what to look for.....I am not sure the doctors do either. My husband has some GW symptoms:  short term memory loss (BAD), his leg twitches (restless leg syndrome maybe), wt loss, severe acne on his back-chest-arms-neck-face-upper legs (the acne is small in size but large in numbers and it is deep in his skin with hard skin shells covering it). He went to the dr. in Germany after he returned from the gulf and was told he had prostatitis from ph imbalance due to climate changes. He has also seen a urologist here for prostatitis once. He has taken lots of oral medication  and topical medication for the acne...nothing touches it. We are still hoping to find answers to his symptoms. If anyone has any thoughts on this please e-mail us @ kenwen2@ivillage.com  Thank you!  Wendy

Infertility?  Check into spontaneous infertility

Immune system attacking sperm

...  helps in any way?

Dr Rea's Clinic comments, "We feel ozone therapy is very risky as it produces free radicals which can cause cellular damage.  We use nutrients, CoQ10, B vitamins and Taurine.  We also add Phosphatidyl Choline and Serine to IV therapy."

Spontaneous Infertility is an Autoimmune Condition

I never heard of this before; but it would fit the pattern of 2-butoxyethanol harm & if so, stopping the autoimmune function may restore?  *

*   Sperm count dropping?   *   Affected by pesticides  *

Do not take Accutane, it has a butylated inert ingredient

Accutane harm - butyl component!

In 'talking' with shewolf today, I made a discovery. The topic of Vioxx led to my commenting on Accutane's harm ... and upon relooking at info I put together over a year ago ... I noticed than an inert ingredient was 'butylated'

Aha! It was like a light bulb going off.

It was the butyl ether added to gasoline that caused that to be banned in many States, end of 1970s.

It is the ethylene glycol monobutyl ether that is of similar health concerns when in paints, in cleaning products, in gun cleaners and other degreasers.

Acne? I notice, by the way, that one of the inactive ingredients of Accutane is butylated This woman's 'symptoms' seemed to be from the diesel fumes

They were looking for people harmed from Accutane & were considering a lawsuit back then.

I am very concerned about our youth taking the Accutane for mild acne. It seems to cause about the same thing as the chemical I've been studying. And even though they say just take it if you could get pregnant during 'treatments,' these things can possible cause reproductive harm, and whose to say that it is only for that time period? Too much exposure to 2-butoxyethanol and there is reproductive harm.

My friend shared some helps for teens here

Why do warnings on Accutane & info on the chemical, 2-butoxyethanol look similar? The Parallels in the Warnings of 2-butoxyethanol and Accutane which has a BUTYLATED Inert Ingredient

I had four strong sons from a previous marriage. I married a GWV and miscarried three. After testing on the outside sector, it was determined that my body was fighting off a foreign body of sorts.  Patty Pringle icequeennw@aol.com

..... so, something autoimmune was going on?
