Avoid Pesticides
: Many cleaning
products have an EPA
registration number
That indicates that
there is a pesticide
component,
often listed as a
solvent in the
Material Safety Data
Sheet for that
product
Just because a
company is says a
product is 'safe' or
non toxic ....
does not mean that
is the case -
Simple Green -
Etc
Beware of BUTYL
in any products
whether paint or
cleaning
products or ....
ethylene glycol
monbutyl ether
is the one I
studied
|
C6H14O2 / CH3(CH2)2CH2OCH2CH2OH |
|
but
PROPYLENE
GLYCOL
MONO-t-BUTYL
ETHER
propylene glycol
monobutyl
ether
looks worse
CH3(CH2)3[OCH2CH(CH3)]nOH
C7H16O2
This stronger
'pesticide' is a
component in carpet
cleaning products,
some Fantastik
cleaning products,
etc
I react with
'loosening of the
sinuses' that can go
on for 2 weeks
when there is this
type of solvent in a
product.
I have immediate
flatulence and
'loosening' of the
bowels'
when someone comes
around me expelling
this chemical in
their respiration
