| My 16 year old daughter woke up at 3AM whimpering
for help but could not speak or move her arms or face.
Before this she had described tingling sensation
taking her over. It seems seizure-like without
the shaking and lasted for about 15 minutes. Called 911
and she was taken to emergency. They feared stroke. The
cat scan came out normal. She vomited for hours
and was exhausted but regained complete mental
and physical function.
The Doctors do not know what to think and she was
released from the hospital after about 12 hours. My
daughter has suffered from migraines in the recent
past. Just the week previous we had to go to urgent
care for a shot to get rid of a massive headache.
Does her recent seizure-like episode sound like
Hemiplegic Migraine? How can we know for sure?
