John Wheeler dies / disoriented / blood-shot eyes

These symptoms are consistent with glycol ether poisoning; news report also indicated he couldn't find his car; had only one shoe on

a primary exposure is vapors through eyes / and a cuticle areas; sounds like enough of this type of poisoning to cause death &/OR to make someone more vulnerable to criminal elements of society.  However, since his mind wasn't working right, and he said he wanted to get warm before finding his car, he most probably crawled into a dumpster, and fell asleep, and was inadvertently 'taken' by a dump truck to the landfill.  The news

4 years ago (17 years after Exxon Valdez oil spill cleanup ended)

workers spraying a product on beaches that was strong in 2-butoxyethanol

had red, blood shot eyes, and other symptoms, generally flu type symptoms

An EVOS worker said they didn't realize how strong the Inipol EAP 22 was and that the workers were having blood in urine and had red bloodshot eyes.

My heart sank. From what I've learned about this product, it causes compensated autoimmune hemolytic anemia (that's the blood in urine) and with that strong an exposure, it is very unlikely that any of these young men would be alive today, 16 years after the fact. But worse, you didn't have to work directly with the chemical to get exposed! The breeze could blow it into your eyes

What could blood-shot eyes mean?

Bluehawk:

"What evidence is there to suggest that Wheeler was exposed to a sufficient amount of glycol ether to have killed him?"

All I am saying is from what I heard: "He had very, very red, bloodshot eyes; he was behaving in a very 'disoriented way'

That if it was some type of exposure to glycol ether, he would also have enlarged spleen, blood in urine and test positive for something similar to anti-freeze in his blood. I don't suspect anyone would think of it, but I always think of it first if 'the pattern is there'

His body fluids would be on the acidic side: not 7.4 pH which blood, lymph fluids and spinal fluids would normally be:

Blood is always at a pH of 7.4; exposure to anti-freeze (similar to ethylene glycol monobutyl ether, but not as bad) raises the acidic level of the blood. (Investigation ID tv program)

"Notes to Physician: Administration of Sodium bicarbonate (baking soda) may be of value to treat acidosis. Monitor kidney and liver function and arterial blood gases closely" http://www.valdezlink.com/re/msn/renalliver/hm.htm

The blood, lymph and cerebral spinal fluid in the human body are designed to be slightly alkaline at a pH of 7.4 source 2

Compare antifreeze to drinking alcohol to 2-butoxyethanol (ethylene glycol monobutyl ether)

http://www.valdezlink.com/re/antifreeze.htm <--- link

antifreeze:

C2H6O2/ C2H4(OH)2

2-butoxyethanol formula is: *etc <--- link

C6H14O2/ CH3(CH2)2CH2OCH2CH2OH

Ethanol  C2H6O / CH3CH2OH),    Drinking Alcohol (the active ingredient in alcoholic drinks)

Well, of course, besides this, there would be multiple autoimmune issues show up at once, he would have had headaches, etc; more deaths should be attributable to FATIGUE in our Nation when glycol ether exposure is the chemical exposure causing flu symptoms; there is autoimmune hemolytic anemia hiding out, except in very acute situations, in which the immune system is prematurely destroying the red blood cells; for a recent exposure, such as could be the case here, the red blood cells would be ragged and beat up with 'bites out of them'

John Wheeler death: red, blood-shot eyes, disoriented may mean exposure to glycol ether (poisoning) http://www.valdezlink.com/re/health/wheeler.htm
