Contact Congress: Glycol Ethers cause FLU and climate warming
|To Congress: The glycol ethers have a
hazardous feature: they break down into CO and CO2
This is not being factored in to climate change & rapid melting of sea ice.
Since 2003 there are no limits by EPA to restrict the amount that can be put into the air
This is also the family of chemicals that 2-butoxyethanol belongs to
Please consider this family of chemicals for primary harm to the Vietnam Vet - Primary harm to the gulf war vet totally at least 700,000 soldiers or about 25% of the Troops.
This chemical has been harming unabated
& is more probably the cause of various FLU
outbreaks - Not a virus of this type or that
How to contact YOUR Senators
& US Rep
The chemical exposure that causes most of the Vets health issues, especially during war eras is Glycol Ether, of which 2-butoxyethanol is the most frequently used.
... and exposure to this chemical both in and out of the military has got to STOP
It is the real cause of 'the flu' NOT a virus
It is this chemical, not AO that was the primary harm to the Vietnam Vet
And if doctors could only find the fatigue/anemia it causes: AIHA or IMHA
such as those with CFIDS, CFS, FM have,
you would surely be adding exposure to this chemical family among the most probable cause of VETS' harm
and on the list of presumptive disability approvals
|Use of Premises guidelines for our Renters ... Be Careful what you clean with * Do not spray hazardous products inside, such as silicone spray or any other spray products (propellants can be health hazardous). In particular, do not use products that have an EPA registration number (Fantastik, Lysol Tub'n Tile) as it usually means there is a pesticide component such as BUTYL which causes autoimmune issues and cancers. Vapors in eyes is an exposure|
We need disclosure of what chemicals are in our home cleaning products, too
What do you clean with?
Clean shower does contain harmful component

According to U.S. patent 5,910,474, the principal ingredients of Clean Shower are a nonionic surfactant, a chelating agent, and an alcohol. A preferred formulation described in the patent specifies the following composition, in percent by volume: isopropyl alcohol, 4.4; Antarox BL-225 (a mixed ethylene glycol ether * * nonionic surfactant), 1.5; Hamp-ene diammonium EDTA (a chelating agent that is a 44% aqueous solution of diammonium ethylenediamine tetraacetate), 1.5; and fragrance, 0.002. The balance is made up with water. The composition is supposed to prevent the buildup of deposits and provide a pleasant sheen on shower surfaces without the need for rinsing, wiping, or scrubbing
|These chemicals are responsible for causing CFIDS,
gulf war syndrome ...
real harm to Vietnam Vets, etc
I was fooled:
When I used this product last March,
second hand solvent exposure should be suspect for
death of Danny Gans
I'm hoping people from all over the
country will ask their Senators/ US Rep
This is what you submitted on Monday 04th

I have looked seriously into the harm of 2-butoxyethanol, but think now that the whole family of glycol ethers are of serious health concern / the cause of flu symptoms / serious contributor to global warming.
I couldn't get any ingredients from the company who makes Clean Shower, and did find these on the patent:
in percent by volume: isopropyl alcohol, 4.4; Antarox BL-225 (a mixed ethylene glycol ether * * nonionic surfactant), 1.5; Hamp-ene diammonium EDTA (a chelating agent that is a 44% aqueous solution of diammonium ethylenediamine tetraacetate), 1.5; and fragrance, 0.002

Universal Health Care Sounds Good, but is it really? *
