The chemical that gets away with so much harm - Blamed for none of it

Las Vegas Performer Danny Gans Dead at 52

LAS VEGAS  —  Singer-actor-impressionist Danny Gans, who spent more than a decade as one of the most popular entertainers in Las Vegas, died Friday. He was 52.

Gans was pronounced dead in his bed shortly after police and paramedics were summoned to his home about 3:45 a.m., said police spokesman Todd Rasmussen.   Foul play was not suspected, but police were investigating "according to standard procedure," Rasmussen said.

Clark County Coroner Michael Murphy released a statement saying a medical examination would be done Friday, but it could take several weeks to receive laboratory results and determine the cause of death.

Gans' manager and longtime friend, Chip Lightman, said Gans was in good health but slept poorly after Wednesday's show and took a nap late Thursday afternoon, a day off. He stayed in bed into the evening, and his wife, Julie, summoned police when she couldn't rouse him after 3 a.m.

"This makes no sense," said Lightman, who said Gans didn't use illegal drugs, didn't smoke and had no apparent medical issues. "I managed him 18 years and health was never an issue."  ... continued

Danny Gans died early this morning, after a family member called 911 to say Danny was having trouble breathing.    By the time paramedics arrived, he was dead.  May 1, 2009  TMZ Staff

What are the symptoms of hemolytic anemia?

  • Chills  8
  • Fatigue
  • Pale color
  • Shortness of breath
  • Rapid heart rate  *   *
  • Yellow skin color (jaundice)
  • Dark urine
  • Enlarged spleen
If Danny were around someone who was seriously overexposed to a glycol ether ... they would breath it out in their respiration to get into his eyes and expose him, too.  Did he have moisture under his nose? a cough?  diarrhea?

Difficulty sleeping can be an autoimmune issue that these chemicals would cause.  For sure he was TIRED, TIRED, TIRED

If he was over exposed

second hand solvent exposure * *

a cause of the fatigue would be acute autoimmune hemolytic anemia in which the body goes autoimmune and attacks (in addition to other things) the red blood cells and a person dies of lack of oxygen from lack of properly functioning red blood cells or not enough blood cells at all.*

Maybe someday a 'breathalyzer test' will help keep our people 'health-safe' when they travel

Maybe one of the GLYCOL ETHERs has harmed him ... as it harms many

Sleeping a lot?

Did he have a horrible headache?

I'm surprised he didn't complain more.  And say things like he had 'the chills' ... that his eyes were burning or have serious diarrhea / vomiting

Ask the doctors to look for red blood cells that are ragged and beat up

to look for dark urine / blood in urine

High white blood cell counts can also indicate this anemia (not an infection)

Did he die of acute autoimmune hemolytic anemia?

The Dizziness is part of  'the anemia'   *

A sign of this anemia is rapid heartbeat ... could it cause a heart attack?

Look for any other AUTOIMMUNE issues

Trace his steps on Wednesday night

What was different that night than any others?

Did someone new come up to him & hang out for a half hour or so?

Does his program exact a lot of energy?

If he kept going when he was feeling poorly, it would have used up the available oxygen his red blood cells could produce, like for this gulf war vet after strenuous exercise:  http://www.valdezlink.com/gwv/diesafterworkout2.htm

Did he have this 'assortment of symptoms' starting up ... or getting worse?

I think we have a pandemic unrecognized health crisis on our hands from exposure to the glycol ethers

Glycol BUTYL Ether

Letter to my US Senator *

"High or repeated exposure can break down red blood cells, and cause anemia.

It can also damage the liver and kidneys."

What are the glycol ethers?  *  *

Glycol: any of a class of organic chemicals characterized by having separate two hydroxyl (-OH) groups, contribute to high water solubility, hygroscopicity and reactivity with many organic compounds, on usually linear and aliphatic carbon chain. The general formula is CnH2n(OH)2 or (CH2)n(OH)2.

2-Butoxy Ethanol is unquestionably Health Hazardous  *

What I want Congress to know  *

Suspect second hand solvent exposure ... someone who came around on Wed, that was probably a new person. People over exposed to glycol ether chemicals can breath the chemical out in their respiration as they are trying to get it out of their system, and it gets into the eyes of others. I suspect he died of acute autoimmune hemolytic anemia / there could also be effects on liver and kidneys.  Expect enlarged spleen / red blood cells with 'bites' out of them
