We need to know what is causing so many cancers, autoimmune issues, birth defects

Death of Dr. Ronald Davis (MD) & Randy Pausch, PhD

We are saddened by the loss of so many wonderful people of this and other cancers.

If there is shortness of breath, rapid heart-beat, and 'the chills' at end of life, it may be the anemia that has taken their life. (The anemia of CFIDS, CFS, FM that doctors are looking for.)

Exposure to the chemical that would do this.... BUTYL ... looks like 'the flu' ... or 'the sniffles' with diarrhea often. Blood in urine is also a clue to 'the anemia' ... AIHA or IMHA.

biography

Born November 18, 1923 () (age 84)

By the time Stevens was fifteen, in 1938, his father had died of cancer.[5]

Stevens received the Distinguished Flying Cross for flying behind enemy lines, the Air Medal, and the Yuan Hai medal awarded by the Chinese Nationalist government.[4][7] He was discharged from the Army Air Forces in March, 1946

On December 4, 1978, the crash of a Learjet 25C at Anchorage International Airport killed five people. Ted Stevens survived; his wife, Ann, did not.[14] (In 2000, the Alaska Legislature voted to rename the airport the Ted Stevens Anchorage International Airport.)

Prostate Cancer

Stevens is a survivor of prostate cancer and has publicly disclosed his cancer. USRF - Colin Powell: Powell Has Surgery for Prostate Cancer

He was nominated for the first Golden Glove Awards for Prostate Cancer by the National Prostate Cancer Coalition (NPCC). He advocated the creation of the Congressionally Directed Medical Research Program for Prostate Cancer at the Department of Defense which has funded nearly $750 million for prostate cancer research.[16] Stevens is a recipient of the Presidential Citation by the American Urological Association for significantly promoting urology causes.[17]

Dear Margaret, Thank you for contacting me to express your support for research programs which study the relation of cancer, autoimmune issues, and birth defects in Exxon Valdez spill workers and their families. There are many bills currently pending before the Senate that deal with research programs, and as a cancer survivor myself, I will continue to support cancer research and prevention initiatives as long as I am in Congress.

This summer, Congress passed, and the President signed into law, the war supplemental spending bill, which included $400 million for cancer research at the National Institutes of Health (NIH), where many cancer research programs exist. This passed with my support. Additionally, because no Appropriations bills were passed by Congress for Fiscal Year 2009, Congress passed, and the President signed into law the Consolidated Security, Disaster Assistance, and Continuing Appropriations Act of 2009 (P.L. 110-329), which provides for continuing appropriations at the Fiscal Year 2008 funding level for federal programs and agencies for which no regular FY 2009 appropriations bill has been enacted. In FY 2008, funding was set at $29.23 billion to fund biomedical research at 27 Institutes and Centers that comprise the NIH.

Securing sufficient funding for the NIH remains an ongoing goal for me; during my tenure as Chairman of the Senate Appropriations Committee, I worked to double NIH's funding. I also cosponsored an amendment to the FY2009 Budget Resolution that would increase funding for the NIH.

Cordially,

US Senator, Ted Stevens

"In 2007, Consumer Reports listed the Dirty Dozen of prescription drugs. One was Crestor because of potential kidney damage.  You probably never heard of that.  Today, plastered all over the news is a study based on the C-reactive protein that Crestor can reduce strokes.  Why is this study publicized and not the 2007 report?  Simple - paid advertising.  What drug ad do you constantly see advertised on TV? Crestor.  TV medical analyst like, Dr. Gupta on Cnn, are nothing but drug industry pimps.  The drug companies realize that if Crestor falls, all the statin drugs will fall. By the way, the glowing study of Crestorwas paid by the drug company that makes Crestor."  Mr. P

My concern is that we are heading in the WRONG direction to stop the epidemics of diabetes, obesity (autoimmune metabolic issues) and cancer and autoimmune issues and birth defects, AUTISM, etc.  Drugging our Nation with 'helps' as they did for the Vietnam Vets. *  all this harm

2-butoxyethanol has been in widespread use since 1930s

& stronger versions before that - especially during war eras   Pandemic Flu

NJ Hazardous Chemical Fact sheet on 2-butoxyethanol

Indicates that 2-butoxyethanol targets the TESTES

I would suspect it for cause of much prostate cancer & other cancers, too

EVOS workers (bioremediation workers) were exposed to 2-butoxyethanol

& so were 'the gulf war vets - with syndrome'

Dear US Senator Ted Stevens:

Thank you on your service to our Country

Did your dad serve in WWI?

I added your reply (which I thank you for) at the bottom of this page:

http://www.valdezlink.com/re/congresssenatecommittee.htm#for

And why I suspect BUTYL or 2-butoxyethanol is the most probable cause of prostate cancer ... MSDS info from NJ says it targets the testes.

A study of EVOS workers' health could prove whether or not this is so ... and your assistance on this matter may be the most important contribution of your career.
