I saw the remembrance that Larry King had and Danny Gans was most definitely a talented, kind man. My condolences to his family and friends. Hearing about his fatigue that started suddenly and then shortness of breath reminds me that second hand solvent exposure would cause these and even result in death. It would be good to track who he was in contact with Wednesday. I would suspect second hand exposure to glycol ethers (2-butoxyethanol being most common) as the most probable cause of death resulting in acute autoimmune hemolytic anemia.

The most probable cause of flu symptoms is not a virus, but a particular chemical family: glycol ethers of which 2-butoxyethanol is the most commonly used. There is such a thing as second hand exposure. Sudden death for serious exposure is most probably a body turned autoimmune and the FATIGUE would be acute autoimmune hemolytic anemia. I wish to add these signs with the exposure signs you have given:

What does research say 2-butoxyethanol / glycol ethers ... do?

"Medical Surveillance: Consider the points of attack (liver, kidneys, lymphoid system, skin, blood, eyes, respiratory system) in placement and periodic physical examinations.

2-Butoxyethanol causes acute hemolytic anemia in rats  (Find this fatigue in people!) http://www.valdezlink.com/re/health/find.htm

In F344 male rats, 2-butoxyethanol causes severe acute hemolytic anemia resulting in significant increase in the concentration of free plasma hemoglobin. Secondary to the hemolytic effects, 2-butoxyethanol also caused hemoglobinuria as well as histopathologic changes in the liver and kidney."
