| My wonderful uncle, Ray Villa, was just
diagnosed with this horrible disease of brain cancer. My
uncle is in the hospital right now suffering from
disease. My uncle doesn't know
that he has this disease. My family is extremely
distraught and lost knowing that soon we might be losing
him. We are in just complete shock. Drs say they cannot
operate since it is Gliomastoma Multiforme. They say
he will be with us for 6 months if he is lucky. They
anticipate 2-3 months. I just cannot believe this is
happening. Can anyone please help me and my family with
any resources to cope with this situation? My uncle Ray
is the youngest of 7. I have 6 aunts and
he is the only boy and the youngest. He is 52 years old.
I can't believe that in a matter of 1 months our lives
would change so dramatically! I am an emotional wreck.
Please help us pray for my Uncle Ray as he is fighting
with this horrible disease. Thanks |
| Tanya, The tumor
being a Glioblastoma Multiforme is probably
not the reason for inoperable. It could be
where it is located makes it inoperable.
PLEASE remember. You always have the option
of second opinions. Or 3rd, or 4th... Did
they do a biopsy, or are they "guessing" it
is a GBM? I would be asking them very
pointedly why it is inoperable. The doctors
are on your payroll right now. If they won't
give you a straight answer to your
questions, find another doctor that will. I
went through a few before I found ones that
will give me straight answers. I may not
always like the answers I get, but I get
honest
straight-forward non-technical answers to
everything. And I do question everything. We
aren't talking about my car, here. This is
ME!
Above all else remember one major important
thing...
Inoperable is NOT incurable.
The doctors can only tell you what their
textbook says. Anything else could be given
as "false hope" and they are unable to
dispense that. Doctors can dispense
band-aids, not hope. My textbook says that
Jesus went about healing all manner of
diseases. My textbook says that I have been
given the name above all names, and His name
is Jesus. And GBM is just another name. My
textbook says that I will live and not die,
that HIS name will be glorified. My textbook
says that by HIS stripes I was healed. Let
us know exactly what it is you can believe
God for in this situation, and I will stand
steadfast with you. We can only see the
past, but God knows the future. I pray for
peace, strength, wisdom and understanding
for you and your family throughout this
entire situation. |

Yes they did do a biopsy and determined it was GBM
stage 4. They say inoperable due to location. It is in
the right rear of his brain. They just told us yesterday
he has another tumor on his front left side of his
brain. My Uncle does not know he has this disease. My
family has opted not to tell him until he gets home. He
will be coming home tomorrow as the Drs say so. He will
be having RT for 10 days. But the Drs have absolutely no
hope. I cannot accept that there is no hope. My family
and I have been looking into a 2nd opinion. Thanks so
much for your support through this extremely difficult
time. I will pass your words onto my Family. Thanks
again.
I still to this day cannot believe that this could happen to my uncle.
I just got back from
his house a few
minutes ago. As soon
as I get home
My uncle seems to be
getting worse
everyday. Today he
is unable to knod
his head yes or no.
He just has a blank
stare when he looks
at you. A few days
ago I was looking at
some pics of him
just a few days
before this all
happened. He was
himself... a VERY
happy man at a
Sacramento Kings
game with my sister.
He was the star of
the crowd everywhere
he went. He always
had a huge smile on
his face...now he
has an expression of
being confused and
scared and that is
not how my uncle is.
I just reassure him
everyday that he
looks good and that
soon we will be
going to the casino.
He just stares at me
with comfort. It is
very difficult for
me to leave his
house everyday. On
my way home I always
break down and start
crying. He is always
on my mind.. They
gave my uncle 6
months to live at
first and just a few
weeks ago said he
only has 2-3 months.
On Tuesday we have a
conference with the
oncologist to see
what the results of
his MRI are. I just
keep my fingers
crossed that the
tumor has shrunk and
he will be with us
longer. It is my
goal to accomplish
all of uncle Rays
goals. It'll be
difficult as this
man has been
everywhere! Next
month a local golf
course will be
having a fundraiser
and BBQ in name of
my uncle. (Uncle Ray
is a golf
extremist!) Thanks
again fro writing

4-8-08 My Uncle Ray's MRI results came back
that the tumor has significantly grown. The Dr will not
do any treatments. He wants to pull back from Uncle Rays
Dr appointments and let hospice take over to make Uncle
Ray comfortable. I cannot believe it. I am in disbelief!
It is so difficult to see him in this state. I try to
always be with him. I go over to his house everyday to
check on him and reassure him he will be ok. We just
have to take it day by day and cross our fingers that a
miracle will happen. Uncle Ray never gives up, so
hopefully he will fight this disease

She had exposure to 'flu' in her area

Has your uncle had flu recently, or such
symptoms as these? Margaret Diann

How is our uncle Ray Villa? He has become
immobile now. He is still very competent and understands
everything. My Uncle Ray worked at Union Pacific Railroad
working on train engines. I also did some research and found out
that people who are exposed to chemicals such as diesel, and gas
are very likely to develop cancerous brain tumors. Thanks for
asking.
A major cause of brain tumors & other tumors ... Is a particular
chemical exposure.
Cancers such as this chemical

If that is what is causing his tumor/s, he should be careful to
avoid any exposure to it.
It is an exposure for carpenters,
auto mechanics, housewives,
soldiers
What job has he done/or is he doing?
Look for the pattern of CFIDS (CFS, FM for short)
And find the fatigue
I had a
friend who was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer & liver cancer &
an anemia that doctors did not find.
It is more probable that she died of the anemia before the
pancreatic cancer took her life (March 2, 2008)
I see similar health
