Stop Smoking & Walk - for one's Health How is your health?
Smoking contributes to twice the
deaths that excess weight does in the EU (European Union).
Prevent heart disease by
eliminating as many risk factors as you can. Of course you can't
control certain things like your heredity or gender. But you can do
something about lowering your cholesterol and blood sugar levels.
If you are still smoking, I
cannot urge you enough to quit. There are wonderful aids, like
nicotine patches and medications to help you with this. I understand
that it isn't easy. Unfortunately, when many people started smoking,
they were not aware of how damaging it was to their body. I have
been told that it is harder to quit smoking than to quit using any
other drug. I believe this is true.
Smoking damages almost every
organ in your body. It causes your vessels to constrict. If you have
diabetes, you probably have high cholesterol, so your vessels are
too narrow to begin with. Smoking makes them narrower. Talk about
limited circulation!
Brisk walking may be a key to
longevity for men with type 2 diabetes. The greatest reduction
in the risk of heart disease was seen in men who spent about three
to five hours a week walking at a brisk pace. The researchers
found that men who walked the fastest were the least likely to die
from any cause, no matter how much time they spent walking.
The number of people with
diabetes is set to double in Germany in the next 10 years. It
expectation is the number of people with diabetes will leap from
five million to 10 million within a decade. The reason for the
increase…. people are living longer, leading inactive
lifestyles and are increasingly overweight.

If your immune system has been compromised from too much chemical of some type - such as 2-butoxyethanol - Fainting? Dizzy? Blacking out? Usually thought of as constricted veins/arteries not getting enough blood to the brain - such as precursors to stroke and heart attack
- with 2-butoxyethanol poisoning, hemolytic anemia gets more pronounced & the bone marrow must not be making enough blood - thus similar symptoms? |
