mild psychosis??

Hi,

I strongly suspect I have chronic fatigue.  I have been feeling lifeless and tired for a couple of years, now, even though I have kept exercising and eating well.  I have tried dietary changes of just about every kind, along with supplements, and nothing seems to work yet.  I am going to go to a doctor as soon as my health insurance kicks in, which is February 1st.

My problem is that, within the past 6 months, my brain fog seems to have gotten considerably worse.  I get confused by radio morning shows that have more than two people talking.  I vaguely recognize faces that I shouldn't know, and it kind of freaks me out.  Lately, I have felt disconnected from my memories and my senses.  It is causing me great anxiety, as I am afraid I am going to completely go crazy and lose touch with reality.  Does anyone else have these symptoms?

When I do get to go to the doctor, what kind should I go to for help with CFS?  If it's going to be a long, arduous diagnosis process, does anyone recommend I go to a shrink for some anti-psychotic meds??  Or has anyone out there had these symptoms go away with CFS treatment?

Thank you for your time.  I'm pretty scared.

I've heard that flax seed oil is helpful for brain function ... because it is completely natural and is a polyunsaturated oil.  It has several bonds free to help in removing toxins, etc.  Maybe would help with children's learning disabilities, too.  Just take 1  tsp - 1 Tbls per day.  You can buy it from a health food store.

... on the other hand, if we are dealing with autoimmune issues???   Some Discoveries?

In a solvent study article, I found a list of symptoms that can occur after exposure to too much of any chemical. It is good to keep in mind, because many times, if we realized it was a symptom of such, we would react differently in "what to do about it'  In other words we would look for what chemical &... removing that exposure, vs treating the 'symptom'  Here's an example (someone sharing about a cough that won't quit and rashes)

It's amazing how similar your ailments are similar to the 'gulf war syndrome' symptoms.  Have any of you given any thought to that?

Symptoms of Gulf War Illnesses (according to the American Legion)

  • Chronic Fatigue

  • Signs and symptoms involving skin (including skin rashes and unusual hair loss)

  • Headache

  • Muscle pain

  • Neurological signs or symptoms (nervous system disorders which could manifest themselves in numbness in one's arms or legs, for instance)

  • Neuropsychological signs or symptoms (including memory loss)

  • Signs or symptoms involving upper or lower respiratory system

  • Sleep disturbances

  • Gastrointestinal signs or symptoms (including recurrent diarrhea and constipation)

  • Cardiovascular signs or symptoms

  • Menstrual disorders

Here's a helps list that I wrote for these, but you may find it helpful, too It allows you a format to list out your symptoms and give your doctor a better overview of all that you are dealing with.  I suspect the same thing that the 'gulf war syndrome' vets have.  The chemical exposure they have that is common to the public, too.  It causes CNS damage and it 'mimics' true psychiatric disorder.

I wouldn't wait until Feb.  Could you call a doctor you have seen in the State you live in, and ask that you get a couple of preliminary tests?  Like a urinalysis to check for trace blood in urine, and for a blood test in which you want to know if the red blood cells are immature.  Tell the doc you want to track the rate at which new red blood cells are being made.  That you want to know whether or not there is acquired autoimmune hemolytic anemia going on.  Ask if you can have a copy of these, and then set up an apt First of Feb to review the results.  Certainly you would be saving time and money if you had some results back at your appointment time.

Just wondering, do you remember a time when your eyes burned like hot pokers were in them, you had dark urine, flu-like symptoms, sudden onset of high or low blood sugar or blood pressure AND a Horrible Fatigue that you still have?
