Our military since before WWII and especially during all war periods have been exposed to too much of ethylene glycol monobutyl ether. New name is 2-butoxyethanol.

  2-butoxyethanol.   C6H14O2/CH3(CH2)2CH2OCH2CH2OH

can cause harm to one's children. It can cause diabetes. It can cause tumors of every sort in one's lung, brain almost anywhere. It can affect the musculo-skeletal system, the nervous system. It can cause lymphomas, leukemias and even infertility for men and women:  but most especially for men (Spontaneous Infertility might be the most probable thing happening, as there is the immune system attacking the sperm.)

It is in many cleaning and degreaser products. It appears to be in gun cleaners and jet fuel.

Housewives, babies ... anyone of any age can be exposed as it is the vapors in one's eyes that is the unrealized exposure to it.

I'm not going to bother your group with my opinions on it,

but for those who are interested, this is some info I'm organizing:

A 'think outside the box' look at one of the GWI vets' chemical exposures
One of the chemical exposures for the 90-91 Gulf War vets was a commonly used chemical from the 1930s to the present. It IS on the list of solvents and pesticides the gulf war troops were exposed to. 2-butoxyethanol and its compound version, diethylene glycol monobutyl ether, are solvents, but also in some odd way ... pesticides. That would explain the endocrine disruption.

Avoid 2-BE for Health- gulf war illness topic
Some examples of gulf war illness and how it could be from 2-butoxyethanol exposure. What does it look like in this military group?

Have a Healthy Baby
One little considered, but most likely very prevalent cause of infertility in men is an autoimmune one: spontaneous infertility in which the immune system attacks the sperm
