a drug to stop nausea - may not be safe

In the news release March 22, 2007 on Elizabeth Edwards (John Edwards' wife) there was a comment that the folks taking chemo today have a strong new drug to counteract the nausea ... available to them now.

Well, from my point of view that is not so great. My daughter had a baby 7 months ago and the worst part of it was the drugs for child birthing that she received. I let her friends gather 'round so didn't get in on the first of it .... but I did observe a vibrant, healthy young woman start into child birthing ... turn into a very sick girl from the drugs she got. She was being given a shot to counteract the nausea. "Don't worry," the doctor said, "It will be out of your system in 5 hours"

But what damage in the meantime? She ended up with horrible memory loss, headaches, severe hormonal ups and downs to grouchiness and FATIGUE more than just loss of sleep. Another very healthy young woman shared she had 'the sweats,' a fever, horrible headaches, etc after her child birthing experience, about the same time; same hospital.

I think even 'heart beat issues' could be part of it. ...more than drinking coffee, in one instance (She is dealing with this, too)

I think it is multiple autoimmune issues, especially autoimmune hypothalamus which controls the master gland of our whole body

To anyone else, this would not signal a 'pattern' To me, it does.

So, I would like to look at what happened to her as far as what she was given, and how her blood changed. Because I'm wondering if there is any butyl &/or ethanol in the meds she was given.

At any rate I think meds our women get in childbirth may be the cause of HELLP Syndrome that is oddly enough ONLY found in this population. Exploring it here http://groups.msn.com/newmoms

I did walk over to her and say, "Just let the nausea wear off, it is a sign that you have too many chemicals in your system"

So, it is my opinion that if Elizabeth Edwards is given that type of chemical to help with nausea after her life-long low grade chemotherapy that she will be taking ... it won't be long before new health issues like that of CFIDS are there, too. And because of what I suspect causes tumor type, autoimmune issues, not long until another cancer shows up (besides what she's dealing with already. AND not because she had breast or bone cancer first.)
