| I have
been sick for about 7 years now... gone to various doctors, no one could
figure out what was wrong with me, or didn't care. I finally went to see
a new doctor a couple of weeks ago. She is the best so far. She had me
do a urinalysis for neurotoxins and we were both surprised at the
results. I haven't had a chance to get down to see her again, she lives
a few hours away, but I did get the results over the phone. Can someone
help me with these? What problems would occur with these numbers being
so far out of whack? Epinephrine: results- 3.1 ------------Optimal range: 8-12 Norepinephrine: results- 15.0 --------Optimal range: 30-55 Norepi/Epi (Ratio): results- 4.9 ------- Optimal range: 3.0-6.0 Dopamine: results- 105.5 ------------Optimal range: 125-175 Serotonin: results- 67.1 -------------Optimal range: 175-225 GABA: results- 10.9 -----------------Optimal results: 2.0-4.0 Glutamate: results- 204.9 ----------- Optimal results: 10-25 PEA: results- 340.9 ------------------Optimal results: 175-350 Histamine: results- 19.6 --------------Optimal results: 10-22 Creatinine: results- 224.5 ------------Optimal results: N/A Everyone, even the lab doctor, seems concerned with the glutamate results. Even my doctor said that she had never seen a result that high. Could someone, in layman terms, help me to figure out what all that means up there? Like I said, I haven't had time to see her again or really speak in depth with her. She has me on Serene Plus and EndoPlus. She said that if we can up the serotonin, then the glutamate would automatically lower. I have so many medical issues... just wondering if this is what is causing them. Some of my symptoms are: SEVERE panic attacks, OCD, burning, itching, sensitive skin, hair loss, extreme weight gain, joint pain/swelling, bruising, mood swings, anger, personality changes, swelling... etc. Thanks for listening.. I'm sure I don't make much sense. -Tracie

| Well
I don't suppose this has anything to do with monosodium glutamate
MSG.
I find that glutamate is made by the Central Nervous System * Levels high or low can be caused by an exposure to 2-butoxyethanol Also many metabolic problems: Cushing's Syndrome (too high cortisol), diabetes, Syndrome X Some of the symptoms you mention also remind me of this chemical's effects What were you doing 7 years ago before you started feeling sick? Any flu-like symptoms? ... but it wasn't the flu? If it is this chemical, these would be checks to find it out Your immune system may have become autoimmune, and the root cause of your illness(es) 5-9-05 * Relating to Biochemistry of Neurotransmitters
