What is a good diet guideline for those who want to have heart  heart-health?

  • No Shell Fish (I love it)
  • If you want a steak eat a filet it is the least fatty meat.
  • Chicken and Turkey breast -

    Dark meat holds the fat

    Do not eat the skin.

  • Lots of veggies and fruit

Last but not least doctor tells me anything in moderation.

Avoid bacon and fatty foods - plugs your arteries.

Have your cholesterol checked once a year.

You can look on the computer for your proper weight for your age and height.

If you gain too much you can get diabetic.

This and reading books has told me what I  can and can not have.

Read the back of what you buy to eat - it will tell you the cholesterol content in most things.

Amazing you can really eat well and be careful.

Cholesterol should be under 200 to not worry.  heart

There is no guaranty I will not drop over tomorrow.

No one ever knows for sure.

There is a soft cover book I bought at Safeway that tells you the Cholesterol count on all food that I used as my bible.

I just eat until I am full then I leave the table or take it in a doggy bag to eat for the next meal.

heartI do not know everything but at this point I feel well.

I do not diet - just watch what I eat
