Ethylene Glycol Monobutyl Ether should be considered as the most probable cause of Chronic Fatigue Immune Dysfunction Syndrome or CFS or FM for short. I suspect it for the primary cause of harm to WWII war time military and civilians (so much new manufacturing on the scene); the primary cause of harm to the Vietnam vet (only slightly from dioxin), the same for the Korean Vet, the 'gulf war syndrome' vet and today's military and civilians.

It is in bomb fumes and worst exposure is vapors in eyes. It is in paint fumes, cleaning products. It is primarily an autoimmune causing chemical. Many things are autoimmune.  Not the least of which is diabetes (Type I and Type 2)

It can cause lots of birth defects, such as autism, leukodystrophies, neuroblastomas, hemangiomas, cerebral palsy ... lots of things.

I suspect it caused the death of Pres FDR, Hitler (didn't need to shoot himself he was so near death for its advanced fatigue), even the Pope.

It should be suspect for many cancers: soft tissue sarcomas ... any cancer with tumors; also NHL and cancers of these body systems & organs it targets:

blood & immune system
pituitary & all glands
central nervous system
Especially pancreas
Kidneys
Liver
Bones

Skin

Digestive system
Cancers with tumors
Birth defects with tumors
Reproductive harm - testes especially

I would expect there would be an increase in SIDS deaths; in learning disabilities; in marriage breakups ...

To medically find this, for those with direct exposure, look for blood in urine and red blood cells that are small-sized. It evades other medical tests: you don't see the signs medically for many, many years as the red blood cell counts appear to be in normal range: test for autoimmune hemolytic anemia. Check for some of these extra things.

The modern name for this chemical is 2-butoxyethanol. It was the primary chemical of harm to the Exxon Valdez oil spill cleanup workers. Exxon's attorneys scoffed at those who said they had been harmed. "How do you know you weren't harmed by the cleaning products at home?" they sneered.  (Believe me - they would KNOW when the fatigue hit - when they had flu symptoms)

Look it up on the internet. LOTS is known about this chemical. What is not known by doctors is what the fatigue is that it causes ... and how to recognize the pattern of harm it causes.

I have learned what that is, so ask me some questions. I may have an answer different that others, because I first ask, "Would 2-butoxyethanol do that?"  "Is there enough of the pattern of this chemical's harm to consider it?"

I suspect Autism is one of the effects to children of those affected by 2-butoxyethanol.  Also Leukemia and brain tumors are possible.
