diarrhea
is what I get anytime I'm around 2-butoxyethanol (or other glycol ether
/ part of the 'alcohol' chemical family) ... just walking into a
freshly painted room ... or where people exposed to it are breathing it
out in their breath .. or in cleaning products too strong with it. (And
it can even be in medications, believe it or not) Ask, what was
different IMMEDIATELY before the flatulence, diarrhea or 'the sniffles'
started up? ... Or 'the flu?'
I get diarrhea. The faster it comes on, the stronger the exposure.
For people I'm concerned about with the same exposure, it does cause
autoimmune issues (the fatigue is compensated autoimmune hemolytic
anemia) and one of those is the gut, as you say.
The body is turning AUTOIMMUNE. What helps the
immune system work properly? That is the help you need!
Liver? Just as the blood tests are fooled on the fatigue, the liver is
often a different count than first shows up in the test.

| 9-28-12 My
husband thinks maybe I have gluten intolerance, to have so
much problem with diarrhea. So, not to eat any bread, etc.
Well, have just come thru serious diarrhea lasting for days,
(after flatulence - being around someone I suspect was
poisoned by glycol ether) & then ate a hamburger w bun & a
piece of toast. Nope, still getting better, so NOT gluten
issue. If my theory is right, no doctor is up on glycol
ether poisoning, & fat chance they'd listen to me anyway,
even if my husband comes with me and says, "No, this is
true; she really has to deal with this"

(We also need to understand 'second
hand' solvent exposure)
