Exxon's experimental chemical inventions

used to 'cleanup' the Exxon Valdez oil spill. 

• It is an unsafe component of many cleaning, degreaser products. 

• (After oil) 2-butoxyethanol is the only chemical exposure these workers have in common with the 'gulf war syndrome' vets.
