I asked my Senator, Senator Lisa Murkowski, to find out from the Dept of Defense ... why 2-butoxyethanol and diethylene glycol monobutyl ether were put on the list of solvents and pesticides the gulf war troops were exposed to   (Book 2)

Finally after 2 years, the DoD said, just normal course of doing a soldier's job.

Excuse me... that is not an acceptable answer.

For one thing, it is generally NOT disclosed in the products that it is in.

The reason war eras of WWII, Vietnam Vet, Korean Vet, and gulf war vets to soldiers of today ... do not find the real cause of their harm

Don't we realize we are getting nowhere ... the path we are on ... for many decades?  Why don't the drug companies admit they hurt more than they help?

Best doctors in the world don't find this for Aristotle Onassis, Hitler, Pres FDR, (VP Cheney, too?)  Birth defects and cancers are worse now than ever before.  We are not looking in the right direction, and 'gulf war syndrome' vets and Exxon Valdez oil spill cleanup workers can help to prove it.
.
because 2-butoxyethanol has NOT been studied as to what it does to PEOPLE ... & should be suspect for cause of gulf war syndrome ... and BECAUSE Bioremediation workers and Corexit trial workers were strongly exposed to  it ... there should be a national search for our workers ... to see if they came down with the same type of symptoms as the 'gulf war syndrome' vets.

For instance, Diabetes is just one of the side effects of 2-butoxyethanol ... but it gets the blame for many other things ... as smoking gets the blame, as asbestos gets the blame ... etc etc  Look at a new perspective on the Health Crisis of Diabetes in Australia for examples of what I'm talking about .... and these, too

I plan to object to her again ... and fax a cover letter with the following links

AND mail.  Senators really do not like e-mail, but maybe a staff person would
