What is neuroblastoma?

Neuroblastoma is one of the most common solid tumours of early childhood usually found in babies or young children. The disease originates in the adrenal medulla or other sites of sympathetic nervous tissue. The most common site is the abdomen (near the adrenal gland) but can also be found in the chest, neck, pelvis, or other sites. Most patients have widespread disease at diagnosis. www.cancerindex.org/ccw/guide2n.htm

I've been learning about a chemical that could cause such.

Although I am not implying that in this case there is any connection

Are there any helps here for early diagnosis? *

My granddaughter (who is 8 years old) and her friend  ...  helped me with a Lemonade Stand fund raiser for pediatric cancer research at the May day Fly-in in Valdez, Alaska. We raised $49.69 over a 6 hour time period. (The lemonade cost $15 plus the cups). Every little bit helps, right?
