Is Alaska the new 'Nevada?'

It is a misnomer to say that General Dynamics wants a cold environment to test their large tanks.  Aren't they destined for Iraq?  Aren't they going after the 305 million that the USMC has to spend on new tanks?

Someone shared with me that, "They cannot be properly armored at that size ... nor can they stay afloat.  Men testing this should wear wet suits; have the hatch open; wear the fluffy type of life vest (not air inflatable).  Will there be enough boats to help save the lives of the soldiers?"

"It's not the right tank for the military, anyway, but it is General Dynamic's cash cow."
On top of that, my concern is the 'bird flu' fumes of war ... blowing towards the town of Valdez.  We should not be put in such health risk.

Please do not allow the WWI type large tanks shoot beyond the Valdez Glacier
Why we do NOT want munitions going off in our mountains

Mike, "Michael Savage who I don't always listen to quoted some salaries of CEOs of defense contractors last night, especially of those who have no competition.  In other words, the prices they ask for their stuff, they get.  No bidding exists.  One CEO had a reported (note 'reported') salary of $69 million per year.  That's a few hundred thousand per day!!!  Savage pointed out that there is NO real oversight on these purchases by the Pentagon.  It really makes you want to lose your temper because the CEOs can rake in tons of taxpayer money and laugh at us."
