They say that only
about 2% of the chemical Ok'ed are really checked out. The
theory in the chemical industry is that it is the public's
responsibility to prove they are harmful ... not their responsibility
to test them until they are proved to be safe.
My understanding about allergies ... is that too much of any chemical can cause sensitivity to various other chemicals thereafter As to type of exposures people are generally espousing - they are commonly accepted routes ... HOWEVER, what I have accepted what was told by a seasoned auto painter to a teen who wanted to paint a car in the man's garage: "Protect your eyes and cuticle areas" These are the ways the harmful component in paint can affect you. A way any town could check this out for themselves: Spray Hot Shot Carpet Cleaner in a small pen that a Humane Society pet scheduled for 'dying' is held in. In 15 minutes check for blood in urine; in less than 2.5 days check the 'retic rate' It will be elevated. Look for hemolytic anemia - AUTOIMMUNE Hemolytic Anemia That's what I suspect happened to Nancy's Persian cat Another thought on 'why fatigue' Does the cat or dog look like it is getting the 'flu?' Diarrhea? Runny nose, watering eyes, cough? In WWII at Guadalcanal they said not a one had a solid bowel movement after getting there. Was it dysentery? Was it malaria? Or was it fumes in eyes of 2-butoxyethanol type chemicals? Don't know where Senator Bob Dole served during WWII. But probably the only reason Bob Dole is alive today after serving in WWII ... was that he was injured & removed from the battlefield early on. |
