Accutane

I am against 2-butoxyethanol.

Because it hurts people so badly ... and I suspect it's being thrown in the oceans so much for 'oil spill cleanup' is a serious, serious problem, too! Adding poison to the oil will push it farther down in the water column, is all ... for the helpless mammals and fish to 'run into'

If you look at many products that painters and mechanics and housewives and the MILITARY uses ... you can find a lot of negligent failure to warn.

If parents knew what Accutane can do to their teens ... (it contains a butylated inert component) ... they would NEVER allow it. Depression leading to suicide is what a US Representative says happened to his son.

Aha! It was like a light bulb going off.

It was the butyl ether added to gasoline that caused that to be banned in many States, end of 1970s. This UK woman's 'symptoms' seemed to be from the diesel fumes (link missing - so removed)

It is the ethylene glycol monobutyl ether that is of similar health concerns when in paints, in cleaning products, in gun cleaners and other degreasers.

Acne? I notice, by the way, that one of the inactive ingredients of Accutane is butylated

They were looking for people harmed from Accutane & were considering a lawsuit back then.

I am very concerned about our youth taking the Accutane for mild acne. It seems to cause about the same thing as the chemical I've been studying. And even though they say just take it if you could get pregnant during 'treatments,' these things can possible cause reproductive harm, and whose to say that it is only for that time period? Too much exposure to 2-butoxyethanol and there is reproductive harm.

My focus is to not have anyone harmed by these chemicals ... No more 'gulf war syndrome' for the troops today. No more CFIDS, Chronic Fatigue Syndrome ... & multiple cancers and reproductive harm.

No more dying off of our people for this worthless cause: "Are we no more than a heathen, godless nation that industry profits matter more than human life?" Well, those are my friend's thoughts. Helen died last week from the advance harm, I suspect, of long term use of cleaning products such as Lysol Tub 'n Tile.
