2-butoxyethanol causes autoimmune
hemolytic anemia and ALL the symptoms the 'gulf war syndrome' vets
have. Check for blood in urine and too many immature red blood cells
& you will find this autoimmune hemolytic anemia - the fatigue the
doctors have not been looking for - but which is there
What is the fatigue of
CFS, CFIDS, 'Gulf War Syndrome?' Check out those who worked on the Exxon
Valdez oil spill cleanup of 1989 and you will find a group exposed to
2-butoxyethanol. This group will look like these others with fatigue
Get an accurate diagnosis on fatigue! ... for you .... for your mate,
(if applicable) ... for all harmed by 2-butoxyethanol!
From what someone shared about her mom having gone in many times to see
a doctor for her headaches, her allergies ... I do suspect that she had
had too much exposure, most likely to this very chemical prior to her
ACUTE attack of autoimmune hemolytic anemia. She died in 1975 at the age
of 41. This was not hereditary and was accompanied by horrible
headaches, allergies, FATIGUE for many years prior!
… If she were alive today her diagnosis would be CFIDS
(Chronic Fatigue Immune Dysfunction Syndrome)
& there would not have been a diagnosis of
autoimmune hemolytic anemia
Which IS the fatigue!
I believe you who have 'gulf war syndrome,' CFIDS, CFS have this
underlying your other symptoms. Have you had this diagnosed? Most likely
not as it hides-out under the other ailments which are many, and which
vary significantly from person to person.
Check some of your earlier urinalysis tests. Is there blood in urine, or
if it's been a LONG time since you felt this fatigue & short term
memory problem, etc ... do you have an abnormal peripheral blood smear
test??
Ask for any comments on the red blood cells that a lab tech will give
you: what is their age, their size, their shape, & what are the cell
membranes like? Ask the doctor to do the direct Coombs' test and the
indirect Coombs' test. The doc won't want to because the regular blood
doesn't give any indication that he/she should.
Also, track the 'retic' rate (reticulocyte count) as if it were tested
earlier it would be some elevated at the very time all your other
symptoms started up... and then peak again at each new exposure to
2-butoxyethanol. Over time it will drop back to normal ... & may
even become less than normal range. Your bone marrow may need some help.
I am saying, please, please don't be ignorant of your own situation and
expect the emergency room sometime somewhere to figure this out. Didn't
sound like they knew what was wrong with this dear mother all those
years, either.
And, please don't think the US Govt has lied and covered up something.
They are in the dark on this issue, too. Many times chemical companies
make products too strong in this chemical and they can get away with
just giving the usage warnings ... which is precious little warning ...
as to what this chemical does.
Protect Yourself From Future Harm!
Check for what products contain 2-butoxyethanol
(CAS Registry Number: 000111-76-2)
in the Household Products Data Base
http://hpd.nlm.nih.gov/ingredients.htm
or check on the internet.
Also check for the complex version Diethylene glycol monobutyl ether or
2-2-butoxyethanol (CAS Registry Number: 000112-34-5) 5% concentration is
not safe for home use, per one expert in product development.
If you want to know about a specific product you use, put the name of
the product, comma, and then the letters MSDS (Stands for Material
Safety Data Sheet) and the internet should be able to give enough
choices that you can see if this chemical is in the product you are
using.
People do not take the warnings seriously, but they should. Wear goggles
and chemical retardant gloves and have ventilation equivalent to
outdoors.
On the other hand, most of the time the ingredient is NOT disclosed and
you have to know what type of warnings might indicate such. Something
really needs to change here. A clean bathtub is not worth someone's
life. The price we are paying is NOT worth the benefit received. It is
an unnecessary harm.
I wrote this web page, "Why the USA can’t find the REAL cause of
‘Gulf War Syndrome’" http://www.valdezlink.com/usa_hoodwinked.htm
If those with the CFIDS and 'gulf war syndrome' can get an accurate
diagnosis on the fatigue, they will have won a major victory!
If you have these symptoms including fatigue that is unknown, will you
participate in a preliminary health survey?
