More on Sleep

They say sleep is a function of the nervous system

Chad Pagel of Indiana is a gulf war vet who shared with me that he didn't sleep (Sleep is a function of the central nervous system)

I shared with him that I asked an EMT from the Exxon Valdez oil spill cleanup what his doctor prescribed for his sleeplessness.  He said it was for him like the 'magic bullet'  He used to barely get any sleep and now he can get 6-7 hours a night.  He said all the side effects are not known, and that he takes 1/4 of what the doctor said he could take:  'Remeron' or Mirtazapine

I don't know anything about it, but maybe it would be worth asking your doctor about.  It is supposed to help with depression ... but taken in small doses, it helps one sleep.  Then a gulf war vet doctor (now 52 years old & developed prostate cancer) shared more about it ... Mirtazapine

I looked into it because the people I've observed with known or suspected exposure to 2-butoxyethanol go all the way from not sleeping at all at night ... to narcolepsy ... falling asleep in the day time for no particular reason.

Hypocretin: Hypocretin (also called orexin) is a peptide that modulates activity in the hypothalamus (the region in the brain associated with sleep, well being, and appetite).
I think autoimmune hypothalamus is going on.  *

Tired? Why? Lack of sleep?

or the other fatigue?  *

What does 2-butoxyethanol do? *

  • Causes eye irritation

  • Affects central nervous system

  • blood and blood-forming organs

  • kidneys

  • liver and

  • lymphoid System

  • defats the skin

EFFECTS OF SHORT-TERM EXPOSURE:
The substance irritates the eyes, the skin, and the respiratory tract

Exposure could cause central nervous system depression and liver and kidney damage.

EFFECTS OF LONG-TERM OR REPEATED EXPOSURE:
The liquid defats the skin.
The substance may have effects on the haematopoietic system, resulting in blood disorders.

I suspect it is the cause of CFS, FM, CFIDS.

I suspect it causes many, many autoimmune issues.

Maybe autoimmune hypothalamus before autoimmune red blood cells, and autoimmune action on insulin receptors....
