Anyone see the Larry King show May 20, 2005
with the panel on the topic of 'diabetes?'

It was an interesting discussion. As to
diet, the doctor on the panel recommended that you eat an orange
instead of drink orange juice, for instance. that it would take longer
for you to eat an orange, peeling it, etc and that it took more energy
to digest the whole orange & longer for the blood sugar to rise,
therefore than if you drank a glass of orange juice.
Also the discussion on importance of exercising ... using the blood sugar up, and burning more of it in the muscles, etc. I was struck by the comment that children as young as 2 years old were getting obese and coming down with diabetes (even type 2 which has previously been consider primarily an 'adult onset' diabetes) I'm thinking that we have several generations out there who have been affected by a teratogen chemical, 2-butoxyethanol, and that this could be a birth defect whether it shows up in the young or an adult. (Lost of exposure to it in WWII with the rocket & gun propellants misting into the air). I've also noticed a baby who has a hemangioma whose mom plays a 'puff your breath in baby's eyes' and watch her react ... (NOT a good game) Turns out baby's babysitter is always in her face playing with her & that the baby sitter has signs of this chemical's effects, maybe from stamping, but the long list of thyroid - hashimotos & short term memory loss & severe depression (things that are CNS - not thyroid) etc. I'm concerned because I believe this chemical can be passed on to someone 'second hand' and that SIDS can be a side effect of it ... at any age Back to Larry King panel, I noticed that no one thinks of this chemical exposure or any chemical exposure, even when metalic taste & other signs of a chemical exposure were there, too And a couple of the panel guests talked about horrible fatigue and blood sugar levels of 500-717. This chemical should be considered for such onset - but so far, I have never heard that it is considered. I'm hoping these doctors work up a trial & helps with glyconutrients for CFS & 'gulf war syndrome' and diabetes with very high blood sugar counts after 'flu-like' symptoms. May be a reaction to a chemical exposure or endocrine disruption - __________________ I looked into the harm of 2-butoxyethanol because someone in my family was harmed by it Margaret's e-mail |
