Yesterday a military marine inspector shared with me

 that long years ago, 

they didn't know how hazardous benzene was.

 

a CARCINOGEN,  causes leukemia & other cancers; can cause aplastic anemia:  aplastic anemia is a failure of the blood-cell forming capacity of the bone marrow that affects all blood-cell types:  a reduction in all types of blood cells: red blood cells, white blood cells, and platelets 

They were in the hole of a ship in 18" of crude oil.  A new assignee to the program with certainly less exposures than any of them had, came down with leukemia after about 6 months of work, and was flown to Walter Reid Medical Center and given the best of care, for what was diagnosed as leukemia. 

This 28 year old military man died 2 months later.

That their grandchildren were born with only 2% of their normal immune system

 

 

The World Health Organization knows that

those who are over exposed

to 2-butoxyethanol type chemicals
