Diabetes may be a Secondary Ailment ...

In my opinion, 2-butoxyethanol or a similar chemical has been poisoning many since before WWII days, and is a primary cause of diabetes and various cancers and birth defects being at epidemic proportions in Britain, Europe & the USA. Many things that are thought to be hereditary are actually decades of family members being chemically overexposed.

Consider this chemical also for OVERWHELMING FATIGUE: autoimmune hemolytic anemia that doesn't show up in the blood work the way doctors expect it should: look for blood in urine and red blood cells that are small-sized.

I believe it is the primary cause of CFS, CFIDS, FM and DIABETES. Diabetes gets blamed for the cause of many other things. And there is a philosophy that just getting the blood sugar down is going to alter its effects.

A parent's WWII exposure to the bomb fumes may now be causing birth defects in children ... the parent's personality would change. Many times 'heart attack' is the advance stage of 'the fatigue'

This chemical targets multiple body systems simultaneously. It is not a matter of a cancer starting somewhere and ending up in another location. Consider what MSDS info tells us; but you have to look at several - some are complete - others are not.

When you have 'the flu' but it's not the flu; and eyes burn and hurt and urine turns black ... look for sources of 2-butoxyethanol. Do you have the CFS assortment of symptoms?

There should be more serious respect for the Chronic Fatigue Syndromes. The fatigue is the common denominator. You have to prove the fatigue that doctors say they don't know what it is.

For helps try not to get exposed to this chemical; avoid all chemicals ... and go to good nutrition & helps such as glyconutrients as shared in Patient Heal Thyself by Rubin

Consider whether the pattern of this chemical's harm is there. It never would just cause one thing. (except for birth defects)

1.  What data do you base this idea on?

2.  Which form of diabetes?

3.  What physiological and molecular mechanisms do you suppose cause diabetes?

4.  What conditions do you think diabetes is wrongly blamed for causing?

That's a lot of questions. Type 2 diabetes is the most common; and I would suspect that to be more from the teratogen effects of 2-butoxyethanol (ethylene glycol butyl ether type chemicals)

I wouldn't be surprised if type 1 diabetes was a variation of the endocrine disruption that is going on. We are talking about a chemical that targets the liver, the kidneys all glands, especially the pituitary. So when you hear that someone's kidneys have failed because of diabetes ... think twice.

As to structure, if it is OK, I will share this link:

There was a man in the UK that gave me the best MSDS I have found on 2-butoxyethanol:

Sigma-Aldrich Company Ltd.
The Old Brickyard
Gillingham, Dorset
SP8 4XT, England
Tel: 01747 822211

Product number: 579556

Their website: http://www.sigmaaldrich.com/Local/SA_Splash.html

My summary of this info - such as AND

Main problem is the autoimmune immune system
Both types of diabetes have an autoimmune aspect

Insulin-resistant diabetes * In diabetes mellitus, autoantibodies are formed against insulin receptors. Insulin receptor  * source

PS

I should add, that with a lot of exposure to 2-butoxyethanol often doctors will note a spike in blood sugar. I don't know which type ... but I would suspect type 2.

I learned a lot about this chemical by talking to those with know exposure: the bioremediation workers of the Exxon Valdez oil spill cleanup (using Inipol EAP 22) and the Corexit trials (that is 38% strong) AND to those with suspected exposure: 'gulf war syndrome' vets ... of which 28% have now fallen victim to a similar chemical. Actually, this and its compound version are 'on the list' of solvents and pesticides the gulf war troops were exposed to. The link is in my prior post.

Not too many consider type 2 diabetes as being an autoimmune issue: check this link http://www.lef.org/protocols/prtcls-txt/t-prtcl-017.html

I suspect we should look at the soft tissue sarcomas as a group and the leukodystrophies as a group ... & that this chemical could cause all of those variations. We should look at how different groups are alike - not how they are different.

I found a singular leukodystrophy that was only found in the Auschwitz Jews of WWII. Then I found that Germans moved the manufacturing of detonation munitions to that camp in 1942 & even forced women to work in the plant.

This indicates to me ... that too much exposure to this type of chemical can cause 'right now' leukodystrophy. 'Right now' diabetes
