2-butoxyethanol in the Bioremediation Inipol EAP 22 and in other Experimental Chemicals of the Exxon Valdez Oil Spill

Caused more Harm to Workers

and the Environment

than the Oil Itself ?

Very Possibly an IMPORTANT Untold Story

*   Who was  in charge of checking workers exposure?  EXXON?

EPA said, "Not us"

AK Health Dept asked

looking back *  Inhalation Exposure limit info  *  Were workers at risk?

May 29, 2003:

"Nobody complied with any of the health and safety rules, and everybody turned a blind eye," said Robert J. Gryder, a Coast Guard safety officer at the spill who has worked for decades in the field of hazardous materials handling and training. "They were issuing rain suits [as protective gear], and a rain suit is [worthless] as protective equipment except for one chemical: water."

Opinion

Workers are AFRAID?

Worker,

What if we are 100% right that the chemicals of the Exxon Valdez Oil Spill cleanup harmed all the bioremediation workers and lots more people, too?  But it didn't get found out and believed, and those cleanup oil chemicals get used over and over and harm more and more people?

We are hoping medical doctors will order the specialty tests from the specialty lab... and that they will order  tests for hemolytic anemia caused from 2-butoxyethanol, & tests for kidney and liver function.

We do not want to see these guys get a 'false -OK'  if there is something wrong and the doctors just didn't test for it.  We don't want to see these guys go thru junk like the young man in my family who had a colonoscopy, bone marrow test and lymphoma test... & found nothing other than that he had a low red blood cell anemia, that was known before they tried to find out 'why?' (skin damage, central nervous system damage, too, if the truth be known)

Had to be hemolytic anemia caused from 2-butoxyethanol; plus he had other symptoms as here  www.valdezlink.com/feel_print.htm

Could you inquire & see whether your doctor is willing to order these things you need .... & then you will come in?  Since he is concerned about your exhaustion & you have put off the blood test for 3 months, maybe he will agree to order the tests we think are necessary plus whatever he wants.  One blood draw... you are done with screening!

We need workers in each type of job with FACTS of what happened to them, if it did.

& then Dr. John Middaugh, State Health Dept should want to do a health study that matters.

What about your children?

Someday soon they will be in the same work force you were.

What about all those the labor unions sent to work?

If we have workers with medical facts they will share for the benefit of the others

... we can get the unions to turn over their thousands of contact numbers and other information.

Workers can have an accurate diagnosis & hoping also for effective treatments

They should not be experimented on any longer

Medical doctors can be trained in the field of chemical poisoning & order the same specialty testings that experts in chemical poisoning field do, too.

Afraid something is wrong, but don't want to know?

Now Worker, I understand, but remember, sooner is better than later,

if you love those children, as I know you do.

They need you!

Many hundreds of workers

& Future Workers

Need our Exxon oil spill workers

to Stand Up and Be Counted

Please,

for yourself,

for your beloved sons

and for the future

...  share preliminary info

with your selected doctor...

& if he/she will help,

please get a good check-up

Bring the doctor your information

and let's hope for the best.
