Don't Republicans Care?

Did the EXXON Valdez Oil Spill cleanup - damage the health of many hundreds of young men?

 Aug, 1989 - 1990

If a long term health study had been done, as mandated by law *

(in use of a 6.1 toxic scale ingredient)

e v e r y o n e  would know the answer to that question, including the workers who  n e e d  to know

inipol EAP 22 used experimentally * page bottom

If hundreds of young men were 'abused' by a company for a new product's sake... & health information gathered was not for their benefit; not knowing  they are at severe risk for cancers ...

with blood problems * and central nervous system damage * immediately apparent,

wouldn't Republicans also be concerned?

Why does the public perceive that only Democrats are concerned for environmental issues?

Worker Health not a Concern to EPA? Exxon? *  EPA shared Aug, 2002 that it was not their focus, the environment was, but of course, they do care & if future input suggests a need for changes, they will do so.

Workers are at serious health risk.  *

Do we have to wait for everyone to die off to draw that conclusion?*

History has a tendency to repeat itself.  Let's help evaluate what really happened... to help ourselves, others now and those possible workers of the future!

Exxon - VECO - VERCA - has not monitored these workers' health long term as required by law when working with a 6.1 on the toxic scale hazardous substance!  They have not given these workers the results of their own blood tests, even when requested by an attorney recently!  Suggestion - skip the attorney - Have your DOCTOR request the full and complete blood work and urinalysis work that was done.  A doctor has need to know... even more than you yourself do.

(Experiment bad?  Evidence buried?)*  2-butoxyethanol being reconsidered by OSHA *

These workers want to LIVE & raise & provide for their children & love their wives...
We are talking many hundreds of men in their 30's now who may have no idea how seriously their health could be affected.

"They were mostly all YOUNG & they were all men, the crew of 'bioremediation' workers:  many of them earning money for their college education," commented the supervisor of 60 workers that he hired.  What about the other teams of workers?  What were these men's goals and aspirations?  What have they done in their lives before and after this work?  If you were one of these workers, please share!

What workers & those who know them, have to share *

"...  there are the serious health consequences for use of the product with 2-butoxyethanol per its MSDS ...

No protective gear * was even possible, nor probably ever could be ...

what a frightening situation...when you're young you think you can trust your employer and the money looks good not to mention you never think anything bad is going to happen to you"

While 'dragging their feet' maybe Exxon is going to all the plaintiffs and paying them $26,000 to drop out of the suit? ... bargain for Exxon ...
