a lady who has gone up against Exxon, 'woman1' still living in AK,
called me.
Her case was '92; She was in Houston, TX with another worker who
was a man 28. The day before he was to give his deposition, he
was found dead (untimely death) blood, etc., in his motel room;
so she stood alone. She said her infant son's case was
'dismissed with prejudice' and he can be in another lawsuit; she has multiple
depositions and 'evidence' ... 8 large boxes worth ... anyone have
room to store? They are with her 'not trusted' attorney of
Houston, TX who was more on Exxon's side than her side. Her case
was dismissed. What chance did she have? She says she is
worn out; but did get an accurate diagnosis on several things and has
doctors to work with.
She said she was found to have 'fragility' of the red blood cells.
Hers was the case with Dr. Tittebaum (sp?) of CO ...
a guru toxicologist ...
Hi Margaret:
You asked, "you don't sleep well"?
To answer your question more precisely:
1. I have had chronic pain for thirteen years, sometimes it
wakes me at night if I don't take meds, or enough meds. The meds
also have created problems.
2. My cognitive functioning, to quantify it in numerical data,
dropped from an IQ before the spill of approximately 135, to some
parts of my IQ being in the eighties, according to neuropsychological
exam. In other words, I used to be a very bright person, and
although I have recovered a lot of my brain, or have compensated for
some of the damaged areas, I was at one time after the spill,
functioning at slightly above an idiot range, BUT I DIDN'T KNOW IT,
which created some problems. It is akin to having something
slipped into your drink and walking around stoned, but not knowing
anything had happened...FOR SEVERAL YEARS, until the oil spill
connection was made.
3. I have had a Sarcoma type cancer, a very large tumor,
extracted from the contact area of oil spill waste, as I often carried
large bags of waste over my shoulder.
4. WORSE--- My son, who was conceived shortly after my leaving
the oil spill, has similar symptomology, including abnormal growth.
I looked at a report on one of the chemicals I used, and the study
showed that mice that were toxed with the chemical produced offspring
that were 25% larger than the control mice. My son has
consistently exceeded the childhood growth chart by over the 100
percentile mark, with an additional 20%. He is now 13, and is 6
ft tall, over 200 lbs. I love him more than life itself.
My "baby" was two weeks early, and weighed 9 lbs. I am
not diabetic, so this would not explain the large size. although
there is one distant all relative in his line, everybody else is small
to average, his father being 5' 10". I am so worried about
my son; he also has learning problems, and was diagnosed as being so
obviously ADHD that his diagnosis was made when he was three.
5. I have not been employed since the oil spill; I can't imagine
anyone who would want to hire me, as I am simply not reliable; I CAN'T
BE SOMEWHERE CONSISTENTLY ON TIME.
I'll await your call
Sincerely,
Woman1
She had sarcoma of the connective tissue - most often deadly as it is
not found.
and underwent a 9 hour MOH's surgery to remove the biopsied skin that
showed cancerous (Like Robert Urich's cancer valdezlink.com/inipol/pages/cancer.htm?)
Or other autoimmune issues
She was on 'ground zero' with Inipol. (She may have had the
French Inipol MSDS as she talks about mice being found to be 25%
larger - a problem her son has had thru his life ... and she didn't
know that there was a different Inipol with 22 chemicals added, as
Richard has shared.)
She worked 3 weeks, mid July to first week of Aug with VECO. She was an oil recovery technician (age 32 at the time) She had long work days, never less than 12 hours; sometimes 16 hours for 3 weeks straight. She cleaned oil with pom poms; cleaned oily booms; Said that one time when out at sea they ran out of the diluted chemical and used it full strength. She remembers using a chemical that looked orange (Orangisol?)
She can name about 5 workers who met with 'untimely death'
Timothy Burt; a woman with lymphoma cancer
Said she had her uterus removed as it had doubled in size and had
doubled over and was growing into itself; on the ultra sound it looked
shadowed and looked like an unknown mass. Her female organs
became twisted and distorted and she had large cists in her ovaries.
She has very severe joint pain; has even gone to the emergency room
with the severe pain in one leg from it.
She said EXXON owns the Anchorage Daily News ... bought it in 1990
(or possibly another paper in Anchorage?)
