What happened to some extent, was an accident (Exxon didn't know about the 2nd hand solvent exposure to Citizen's of Valdez & family members of workers)

But to the bioremediation workers... & Corexit workers.... it was criminal

'bioremediation' was an experiment

 what Exxon did:

One person knows he has come down with anemia since that time...now has a low red blood cell count... doctors couldn't figure out why:  not dietary, not hereditary, colonoscopy indicated no internal bleeding, bone marrow OK, lymph nodes swollen throughout body, but lymph node biopsy was OK. So back to square one:  his doctor doesn't know why he has a low red blood cell anemia.

And he's wondering... literature he recently obtained on Inipol EAP 22 (which was used during the EXXON Valdez Oil Spill clean up starting Aug, 1989) indicates blood damage possible, being hemolytic anemia.  How to test for?  Any effective treatment?

During that time, the company drew this man's blood - a second time - with very thick-tubed needles so as to not destroy whatever it was they were looking for?  Since it was a new product being tested, would that mean anything?  What were they looking for? Did they find the red blood cells were 'ragged' and 'beat up?'

He started feeling this tiredness a few months after the summer of '89 and worked again in the 1990 summer.

If there were a problem wouldn't the company know about it?  Surely they wouldn't let him work another summer with the same Inipol EAP 22 -which he did- if their testing indicated health problems?

Since then there has been the depression, difficulty concentrating ... evidence of central nervous system damage, skin damage, etc  'The package' of 2-butoxyethanol poisoning.

Seek proper medical care, if you have these symptoms  *

... be sure to mention any chemicals that could have had an effect. *

If you were a union, NORCON worker of VECO... Corexit had 3 times the 2-butoxyethanol  * & maybe ethylene oxide *

How do the Exxon Valdez Oil Spill cleanup workers Feel?

First post ... 2002

So, now that they knew they had caused these workers with blood in urine & blood test info to come down with 'hemolytic anemia' that 2-butoxyethanol causes ... what did they do  with this information?
  • Oh, they sold Corexit (the non-used product of the Exxon Valdez oil spill cleanup)

  • to the Dept of Defense ...

Corext was sold to the Dept of Defense (before the gulf war?)

  • they sold it to Australia for their 1995 oil spill cleanup (& taught them how to make it, too) and ...

  • Corexit was used in 2002 near the heavily populated town of Karachi ... to 'cleanup' their oil spill (just push the oil -now mixed with poison) further down into the water column.

Wonder how much money Exxon has made off of this horrible poison?

We are a chemically poisoned people

Why not Corexit?

So, why don't doctors find this blood damage?

  • You have to prove the harm of 2-butoxyethanol by proving the FATIGUE of CFIDS ...

  • & doctors say they don't know what that is.

I suspect it is

acquired compensated AUTOIMMUNE hemolytic anemia,

diagnostic helps

With 2-butoxyethanol blood damage  happens first.

Per definition of hemolytic anemia:

"In what's known as

 autoimmune hemolytic anemia

the immune system mistakes red blood cells for foreign invaders and begins destroying them."

with this pattern of symptoms:

We're trying to find the 'blood damage'  Why FatigueTrack 'retic' rate

  • Chills  8

  • Fatigue

  • Pale color

  • Shortness of breath

  • Rapid heart rate  *   *

  • Yellow skin color (jaundice)

  • Dark urine (indicative of blood in urine - never dismiss this! Stop exposure immediately!)

  • Red blood cells that are small-sized, fragility of membranes, etc

  • Enlarged spleen   *

These are symptoms of hemolytic anemia - what this chemical is said to cause.  From time to time you should see these signs (not all of them all of the time)

(AUTOIMMUNE?) Diabetes often shows up (it has an autoimmune component)

Loose your temper easily? Central Nervous System * damage

(partial list of clues for this):

  • Short term memory loss

  • Difficulty concentrating

  • Personality changes to 'grumpy' - Extreme Irritability

  • Difficulty sleeping at night - Sleep apnea? Narcolepsy in the extreme

  • All-the-time depression

  • Suicidal Tendencies

  • Mimics true psychiatric disorder

Hormones out of range - High or Low - Especially the Pituitary

Horrible Headaches - Maybe pituitary headaches - something related to hormones

It is a teratogen ... birth defects possible

It seems to cause tumors ... soft tissues & many places ... especially BRAIN tumors

Targets kidneys, liver ... multiple glands and organ systems simultaneously *

How they FEEL

Is there blood in urine?  or abnormal peripheral blood results?

Are the red blood cells small-sized?  fragile membranes?  LOOK at the red blood cells  *

The flu - May not be the flu *

EPA - CA Janitorial Study -  Glycol alkyl ethers are commonly used as solvents. 2-Butoxy Ethanol is one of the most toxic of the glycol ethers.

You should use products containing butoxyethanol with extreme care. It is a poison

Valdez has the BIGGEST dog in the Fight - but they don't know it

The 'bioremediation workers' and the Corexit workers have their own dog,

and come to think of it - THEY have the biggest dog
