2-butoyxethanol

C6H14O2/CH3(CH2)2CH2OCH2CH2OH

Causes Symptoms like Gulf War Syndrome

Many people are harmed by 2-butoxyethanol,

but it is not easily detected

I have studied the chemicals used during the Exxon Valdez oil spill cleanup, as someone in my family was harmed by them.

We are looking for doctors who can help us understand how to get an accurate diagnosis and an effective treatment

Comments of the lab technician

Need to look at the red blood cells under a microscope - some labs look at the live cells with special microscopes

Fainting?  Check the medication load & MCV (Mean Cell Volume)  May not be a stroke or heart attack.

How is the liver functioning?

It looks a lot like the 'package of symptoms' that Gulf War Syndrome is ...

doctors can help us - using as little medicine as possible;
One Mayo Clinic diagnosed a worker with a toxic overload of her medications

Our workers are all over the country now.
& we are looking for them;
they don't know what is wrong

This is a very good composite of web pages that tell the story
of the Exxon Valdez Oil Spill cleanup - & some of what went wrong

Also  looking for  Dr. Ben Carson, neurosurgeon in WA DC area
I would like him to have this information also, and see if he will help

Anything I have gathered or shared, that is mine,

you are welcome to use.

Subject: RE: The chemical that harmed the Exxon Valdez Oil spill workers

Dear Margaret,
There is a medical group in California and New York called Health Med that specializes detoxification of chemicals and other substances.
They are doing a detoxification program for the N.Y. firefighters with terrific success. In fact the program results have been recently published in the trade journal of the firefighters.
I think this would be a good program to look into.
Their director is Keith Miller. I am cc'ing him so that you can get it touch with him.
Sincerely,
David Minkoff M.D.

Are there any insights here?

How can we find out what the common link in damage to red blood cells is?

Have you tried a checkup with a Naturopath?

Has anybody suggested a diagnosis with a darkfield microscope?

Perhaps hair analysis?

Chelation Therapy?

Your Opinion Matters!

Did you know more of these chemicals are planned for future oil spill cleanups?  *

Subject: Satellite facility possible in Alaska?

Dear Keith Miller,

Dr. Minkoff recommended you.
... Said that you had helps for our Exxon Valdez Oil spill cleanup workers
(which by the way, are very similar to those who have 'Gulf War Syndrome')
Looks like our Dept of Defense bought the Corexit 9527
Also looks like Gulf War Syndrome are the same symptoms as 2-butoxyethanol poisoning

There are those in our group who know of your work and are already in contact with you?

These are some of the questions we have

This native group has been severely harmed by the 2-butoxyethanol in the dispersant chemicals

If we don't find out what really happened to them -
... and have a long term 'follow up'
Then there will be no end to the harm to people

Hi Margaret -
Sorry for the delay in getting back to you.  I do want to see if there is a way for us to help.  I am in NYC for a couple of more days but when I get back to my offices in L.A.   I will give interested parties in Alaska a call and we can talk.  Then we will take it from there.

Best,

Keith

Q:  Keith, How possible would it be to have help for our workers who can't afford medical - because they are not well enough to work?

A:   Funds would need to be raised from private individuals, companies, government. That is what we are doing in NYC to support the treatment there.  A similar thing would need to be undertaken by you and any supporters of what you want to do.

Q:  How possible would it be to have a detox facility in Alaska
&  would it work with 2-butoxyethanol chemical?

A:  It is generally helpful with a wide variety of chemicals.  I don't have any specific experience with 2-butoxyethanol.

KM

C6H14O2/CH3(CH2)2CH2OCH2CH2OH

This is the formula for 2-butoxyethanol

Many people have exposure to it

This is the MSDS on it that is the most understandable among what I've found

& this is what else it does to people

Could you ask your Senators & Rep... to check into this for all people who are often exposed to this horrible chemical

& share this web link, too  www.valdezlink.com/lists.htm

Margaret

Easy contact

Many people will be perpetually harmed by this chemical,

if we don't learn what happened to the bioremediation workers of the

Exxon Valdez Oil Spill Cleanup

I wonder why we can't get some of the money for victims in general that was set aside
