Symptoms of hemolytic anemia - Helps to Diagnose

and what about retic ratio?

See all the pretty clean orange suits? They were not real Monitors, they were big wigs out for a look-see. Real beach monitors have two or three "mustangs" (the suits) and they were all black with oil. A whole boat load of them at once? Real monitors traveled in twos at the most.

Maybe these were DEC monitors?

Coast Guard beach monitors were not "traveling lookers" They were on the beach before the workers arrived, and left only after the last one was gone in the evening.  Most were there more hours than the workers themselves.  VECO friends would help some by bringing boxed lunches because the CG didn't bother with lunches for the monitors.

I spoke today to one of the Coast Guard Inspectors of the Beach Spraying with Inipol EAP 22 of the Exxon Valdez Oil Spill cleanup.  He had said to me in 2002, that the class B gear that the workers had was just fine.  Oh, is that so?  He thought they were not harmed by the chemicals they were applying.

Then he later told me that he gets an annual physical.... required from all the chemicals he had been exposed to in his military career.  That he was in excellent physical shape, runs 5 miles a day even now, etc.

The doctor did comment that his red blood count was a little low.

He dismissed it as inconsequential.

I spoke to him today, and gave him the symptoms found on a medical info site... what symptoms are for hemolytic anemia  No special reason ... I just talk about this to those who I see about town from time to time.

He asked me, What do they mean by rapid heart rate?

I said, "I don't know"

So, I went 'looking' for the answer to his question

Then I noticed just now, a comment by a 'Gulf War Syndrome' vet,

which helps answer his question, too:

I was retired from the Air Force in 1993 for asthma and now I am having many other symptoms that are scaring the crap out of me. I have constant heart flutters and the doctors do not have any answers. They have put me on a beta blocker after my heart rate jumped up to 250 beats per minute for 30 mins and they could not stop it. I ran 14 miles a day in the Air Force and now my body is a mess. I have gained 160 pounds because of the Prednisone and I do not know where to turn. The VA retired me after I contacted them wanting help with my weight, etc. The doctor did not even look at me when he said "good luck with that" and walked out. I got a letter in the mail 3 weeks later saying that I would receive a pension but only after my retirement money from the Air Force was paid off!! I DID NOT WANT MONEY! I want to get better and I do not know who to contact or who to talk to. If anyone has any suggestions they would be much appreciated.

Do you have symptoms of too much chemical exposure?

*

EVOS Worker?  What job did YOU do?

?

Military since 1989?  Where were you?  and.. What job did YOU do just before  feeling... exhausted?

Does anyone feel like this?

Do you have any of these health concerns?

Obviously this is a complex issue,

and needs to be studied;

however, with lymph nodes swollen,

wouldn't that be an indication of

Acquired autoimmune hemolytic anemia with this group?

MSDS states hazards mostly of 2-butoxyethanol
