What
people exposed to 2-butoxyethanol notice
Did
you have this symptom? |
| C6H14O2/CH3(CH2)2CH2OCH2CH2OH |
| First
and foremost, those who've run into this chemical have a
constant & continual exhaustion that no rest can help.
They may seem lethargic & seem to lack motivation - Check
blood
thoroughly |
| |
| Dry
Skin - Nose bleeds easily - cracked skin - Odd leathery skin |
This
worker
is continually having blood show up in urine. This is also an
early sign that many
workers
had.
Change in Personality
- "Fly Off the Handle" easily;
Continual Depression -
CNS caused,
Difficulty concentrating, Short Term memory
Loss
What can be
done for depression when it is central nervous system damage?
After taking Prozac for a year, one such worker stopped taking it, as it
did no good.
One worker
said she always had a slender build & has
put on weight since her work during the Exxon Valdez oil spill cleanup
- Change in metabolism? Nothing else had changed.
The way she
talked, it sounded like she was exposed to Corexit with 38%
2-butoxyethanol. Worked for Norcon and did work with chemical as
Navy
did.

One native
man said his
blood sugar
was 180 and that he did not have diabetes; I'll have
to check back with him, as it
appears doctors say you have diabetes based solely on the glucose
level in your blood. But maybe
his doctor checked something else & found it was not diabetes, but some
type of endocrine disruption *
*
Damage
to the pituitary? ... damage then to pancreas? One man
said he had no diabetes until after a severe head injury - causing
Type I diabetes. So why couldn't chemical harm to the endocrine
system from chemicals cause the same?
Some of
these are now having dizzy and fainting spells. I'm
wondering if it isn't from the liver ceasing to function properly &/or
medications adding to their 'maxed out' chemical load - Needing more
oxygen? ... relating to the blood damage, as well? |
| |
Immediately
the blood
pressure seems to go quite high...
| |
According
to the information on 2-butoxyethanol it causes hemolytic anemia &
damages blood forming organs - What to check in the blood?
Enzymes
& Immune system? *
&/or *
| |
| Headaches
are a different type - say 2-3 times a week for
years. One said it was located at the back of his head,
near the base of the skull... or at the back of his head and
down his neck. |
How
long have you been having headaches? How
frequently? Where does your head hurt? |
| |
| Heart
rate is rapid - symptom of hemolytic anemia per
definition *
* |
I've
also heard of such things as here www.valdezlink.com/scenario.htm
and of swollen organs such as gall bladder, spleen, pancreas, liver,
testicles (some of these are the endocrine system, right?) |
| |
& that arthritis seems to set in. |
| |
| ...
eyes? and
more,
shares this worker |
| Note:
The primary glands that make up the human
endocrine system are the hypothalamus,
pituitary,
thyroid,
parathyroid,
adrenal,
pineal
body, and reproductive glands—the ovary
and testis.
The pancreas,
an organ often associated with the digestive system, is also
considered part of the endocrine system. In addition, some
nonendocrine organs are known to actively secrete hormones.
These include the brain, heart, lungs, kidneys, liver, thymus,
skin, and placenta |
