Answered Prayer... for the Family Already!

Brad, who is now 3 years old -

Looks Adoringly at his new Sister

... Maybe that's  ...  wonderingly?  But grandma.... Adoring it is!

Victoria Luz was born 6-26-02 at 8:20 AM 20" 9 pounds and 1 ounce.

"She has dark hair like her Mommy, who blessed me with the joy and honor of being

 present

to prayerfully participate in the birth of my first granddaughter." -Patricia Lynn

Her umbilical chord was wrapped around her neck.

Amanda's doctor wasn't able to make it to the delivery in time

so God sent Dr. Shining with wisdom from above and the expertise to quickly remedy the problem.

Dr. Shining said she knew everything would be OK when she heard the prayers.

I had one hand on Amanda's belly and the other holding the phone.

Just as Amanda said, "Call Aaron!", the phone rang.

 It was her husband

and my precious son

calling from Korea!

"Luz=Light in Spanish.

Isn't is awesome how God sent Dr. Shining

to deliver Victorious Light!

Her big brother, Bradley Sean,

spent the rest of the day with us"

- reports grandma, Patricia Lynn,

an Aglow Intercessor in CA

  - Never - doubt the power of prayer

Prayer request & update for Brad  -  April 9, 2003

The doctor put Brad back on the IV this afternoon after examining Brad's tongue.

The hospital offers bread, applesauce and bananas.

The nurse tried to get Brad to drink Pedialite by dipping a Popsicle in it for color
but Brad didn't like the taste.

Around noon yesterday,

Brad ate 3/4 dry toast and 1/2 a small banana,

but he vomited it between 4:30-5 PM.

Amanda met Aaron at the airport just before 5 PM.

When I drove Brad home from the hospital Sunday,

he mentioned that his Daddy was bringing presents for him.

Aaron and Brad assembled a Lego airplane.

When Aaron and Amanda arrived this morning

Brad perked up and ate some applesauce .

They gave Brad 3 more PhytoBears, Ambrotose,

another of Victoria's cookies and a bite of a saltine cracker.

Aaron & Brad are taking a nap while Amanda is doing the laundry.

Grandpa Rod also spent last night in the hospital with Brad, came home for a shower,
shave and a nap.  When I told Rod about the blessing of seeing

Victoria take her first steps this morning,

Victoria made a believer out of him by taking a step toward him.

"Thank you each and every one... for praying,"

shares the family!

4-10-03 Report:

Webmaster - Thanks so much for your timely reminder of Victorious Light!

She was vomiting last night and has had diarrhea.

The good news about  Brad is that

he ate toast, rice, applesauce, 5 bites of banana and 5 baby cookies today.

They are reducing the amount of fluids going into Brad through the IV

and predict he will be able to leave the hospital tomorrow.
